Mr. Il Won Son is the Managing Partner in the Seoul Office of BAAK JANG & PARK.  Mr. Son received his LL.B. degree from Sunggyungwan University College of Law and his LL.M. degree from University of Iowa College of Law.

Mr. Son passed the Judicial Examination of Korea in 1986, was trained at the Judicial Research and Training Institute, and admitted to the Bar of Korea.

Before entering private practice in 1995, Mr. Son served as a Public Prosecutor, at the Suwon Public Prosecutor’s Office, and at the Seoul Public Prosecutor’s Office.

Mr. Son lectured at Education Institute of the Ministry of Domestic Affairs, and at World Trade Academy of Korea International Trade Association. He continues to serve as an Arbitrator on the Arbitrators Panel of the Korean Commercial Arbitration Board.

He focuses on Antitrust, Finance, Taxation, Intellectual Property, Criminal Law, and Litigation. Mr. Son is a member of both the Seoul Bar Association and the Korean Bar Association. He speaks Korean, English and Japanese.
